Apple Valley, California -May 27, 2014

Hey y'all

First off, I am all for helping Cameron move that wedding back.  I will add some money to that bribe.  Don't know if mom and dad would appreciate that though since the wedding is only a week away....They are probably just for it to be over and are grateful it is not dragging out another 5 months.

Well this week was an interesting one.  Tuesday was our No Satan Day-which was basically us just being as exactly obedient as we possibly can.  We did the best we could that one day and we saw good things come from it.  We went to visit a less active girl, and found her mom home.  Her mom was crying.  I guess this less active girl-Maddie- had blown up.  The grandma (who they live with) couldn't take it any more.  Told Maddie to leave.  Maddie got her stuff and left to a hotel where her dad was staying.  The dad is from Oklahoma and was over visiting the kids.  The mom was up set and we were able to talk to her and listen.  We fasted the next day with the mom for Maddie.

On Friday we had exchanges and Sister Ellis and Sister Higbee went over to their house.  They found out that Maddie had decided to stay with the mom and not go with the dad-Good thing.  Dad is a druggie and a drinker.  They also took Maddie into her room and Maddie opened up a whole lot to them.  She told them a lot of things that were going on that we didn't know about. We have an appointment with them today.  But we are making progress with that family!!

Like I said, Friday we had exchanges.  I went with Sister Anderson to Victorville  for the day.  I had a lot of fun and learned a lot from her.  It was a good day, and Sister Ellis and Sister Higbee were able to contact 5 of our investigators that we haven't been able to contact in weeks!  So that was good. We have lessons set up with all of them this week! So excited.

On Thursday we had zone conference.  What a day that was....We get to the church at 7:45 in the morning-exactly on time.  We get out of the car and Sister Pollard and her companion were walking through the parking lot. She came over to me, gave me a hug and told me she was going home at the end of this transfer.  She has been having a lot of bad problems with her feet.  She has had 4 companions and she has struggled with all of them.  The mission has been super hard and she just couldn't take it any more.  So with the feet and everything else combined, she decided to go home.

Oh but the best news for the week???? KENZII IS GETTING BAPTIZED!!!!!! AHHHHHH she is getting baptized on Friday! I am so excited.  Last I heard, she was aiming for August.  But she kicked her boyfriend out and she got rid of the coffee and tea.  She moved her date up a few months and President  gave me permission to go!! I guess I am still on his good list!  So that is in just three days!! YAY!!  So I will have pictures of that next week for you.

Transfers is also this week.  We don't want either of us to leave, but we both think that Sister Ellis is going to get the boot.  I will let you know next week though.

Well I love you all.  I hope you have a great week.

Apple Valley, California -May 19, 2014

Hi family,

This week has been slow.  It is better.  We met with three of the recent converts this week.  We also met with three less active members and had good lessons with each of them.  We still don't have any investigators.  We have been trying to three weeks to get with the Villarruels and have had no luck.  We called them on Friday and the dad said he was out of town until Wednesday.  He told us to call the mom.  So we did and she didn't answer.  Later that day, we drove by their house on the way to an appointment, and the dad was in the front yard-so he lied. So we aren't working with them any more.

We got a referral from the Elders we share a ward with a few weeks ago.  Every time we stop by, she is not home.  So last night we were trying to figure out where to go and just happened to drive by her house (not on purpose at all)  We saw a light was on and pulled over.  We got out and by the time we got to her driveway, she (Lori) came out of her house.  She had been cleaning and just happened to take out the trash the same time we just happened to drive by and stop.  We talked to Lori for a bit.  She was super nice.  It was 830 at night though so we set up an appointment for Wednesday.  We are excited for that.

This week is going to be busy.  We have zone conference all day Thursday.  We have appointments to fill our entire Wednesday up. Friday we have exchanges.  So it is going to be a good week.  We are excited.  And in two weeks is transfers! Can you believe it is almost here again?  Wow

Well I hope  you all had a good week. Love ya all

Apple Valley, California -May 12, 2014

Hey family!

It was so good to talk to you all and see you yesterday! I saw everyone, even Braeden for about half a second til he ran off.  It was also so good to see Marina as well.  I sure miss that girl.  So glad she is working in Smithfield!! AHH  Happy day :)

I enjoyed getting the letters.  I think we will have some time to write today, so I will try to get back to you soon.

This week was good.  We had some really good lessons with the recent converts and less actives in the ward.  Things are going well with them.  We are working on finding some new investigators, but are not having much luck.  We hope this week will bring some.

For school, I have no idea.  I might just end up at USU honestly.  And I already have been at USU, through high school, so I might just have to send them my SUU transcript.  I have the A number that you need for registration still.  So I dunno.  I am still thinking about it all.  I am also kind of thinking about Recreation Management.  I don't know if they have that at USU and I don't know too much about it.  I need some more info on it.

What is Cameron planning on doing?  Does he have any ideas yet?

Well I think that is about all for today.  I hope all is still going well.  Have a great week! Love ya all

Apple Valley, California -May 5, 2014

Hello there.

Well I this might be a little shorter than normal.  You just got a whole lot of pictures from me (I hope they all worked out) And I get to talk to everyone on Sunday!! YAY!!!!

Ryan's baptism was really good. It was fun to go back and see my old friends from Hesperia.  Everything went really smoothly.  No problems.  Kenzii has gall stones so she wasn't able to make it though.  I was pretty bummed about that.  But I sent some good pictures of it.  At least I hope they were good.  I couldn't really see... :)

Well I am glad that we beat the evil emperor Zurg again.  That is pretty impressive.  Good job girls!! Keep up the good work and never go to play for them!  You girls are obviously too good for them.

HAPPY ANNIVERSARY!!! I did remember.  In fact I told my companion and then said I was an awful daughter because I didn't send you anything.  You can ask her.  She will be my witness.

This was a pretty slow week for us.  We didn't get to meet with the Villarruels.  But we have an appointment for Wednesday with them.  We spent most of the week trying to meet the active members of the ward.  We also spent some time with the elders in the ward going over the entire ward list and talking about every family.  That took a long time!!  We went tracting, no successes yet.  And one morning we both woke up so dizzy neither of us could stand up straight.  I am not sure what it was.  We thought maybe we were dehydrated, but we drank lots of water and it didn't get better,  We didn't trust ourselves to drive if we couldn't stand up straight, so we didn't go anywhere.

This next week should be better.  I am excited for it.  We get along great.  We both want to work and are ready.  Things should get moving quickly here.  It should be a good transfer.  And don't worry, the Ebmeyers are taking real good care of us.

Well I guess I will be calling about 730ish your time.  Maybe 715ish.  Just whenever we finish dinner.  I can't wait to talk to you all.  Have a good week!!
